With Visión Ciega (Blind Sight), Messick turns his attention to the roots of his own artistic journey that began in Bogotá, Colombia in 1985. Created during the past 5 years, this deeply-personal project comprises a series of bold, yet mysterious, images that capture the often-fleeting glances that blur the lines between the subject and the observer, while asking the question: What does it mean to be really seen?
