A visual meditation on life’s impermanence as embodied by the destruction and regeneration of Messick’s home, studio, and extensive art collection that was all but destroyed during a fire in 2005. Initially presented as a site-specific installation in his restored home, the exhibition of photographs, artifacts, sculpture and video is now available as a traveling installation.
